Skully Beaded Bat - suncatcher

I made this bat-shaped suncatcher from steel wire (which has a much warmer, golden tone than is normally seen in steel), with a mixture of glass and plastic beads in various shades of grey and black, including one heart-shaped cloisonné bead in the centre and several grey plastic skull-shaped beads. It has a wingspan of 19.5cm (just under 8"), and measures just under 5cm (just under 2") from the top of the head to its bottom.

A loop of black ribbon through the head allows this suncatcher to be hung. Display it by a window to catch the sunlight, or perhaps give it to a bat fan for their birthday.
